The funeral cortege included two miniature gypsy caravans adorned with red and white flowers carried on the back of flatbed trucks.

And a floral tribute resembling a traditional gypsy Cob horse was spotted travelling in the procession.

Intricate displays of flowers spelled out "My mum, my world", "Kooleys Nan" and "I love you" also featured.

And Romani flags - which feature a red wagon wheel on a blue and green backdrop - were seen flying from four Rolls Royces.

One lady was seen carrying a boombox behind the coffin as white horses trotted through the village of Elstead, in Surrey.

Hundreds of tearful mourners in mini skirts were then seen embracing one another as they paid their respects to the 89-year-old.

Friends and family were later pictured filming pallbearers as they carried the coffin - draped in a Romani flag - into St James's Church.

After the service Naomi was taken to her burial at Shalford Cemetery in nearby Guildford.

The grandma, known as "Lala", died on May 29, her family said.

A relative, Naomi, told The Sun: “The glue to the whole family that kept everyone together. She meant everything to us.

"You won't get another one like her."

And sharing a string of broken heart emojis, granddaughter Tammy Matthews paid tribute to her "best friend" who was her "second mam".

She wrote on Facebook: "Never felt more alone in all my life. Can’t believe it. I’ve lost my world my granny my second Mam.

"She was my best friend she was all I had."
