  • How the table looks

The Gunners have given Premier League title rivals Liverpool the chance to go 11 points clear at the top of the table when the Reds meet with Manchester City tomorrow afternoon.

Should Arne Slot's side take advantage of Arsenal's slip-up, it would be a tall order for this injury-hit Gunners squad to recover the extensive gap

Towards the bottom end, West Ham's win has seen them pull a massive 13 points clear of Ipswich in 18th, which should almost certainly see them secure Premier League survival for another season.

  • Premier League release statement on red card VAR decision

The Premier League backed the decision to upgrade the yellow card initially given to Myles Lewis-Skelly.

The statement reads: "VAR checked the referee’s call of yellow card to Lewis-Skelly for a challenge on Kudus – deeming it denial of an obvious goal-scoring opportunity due to the goalkeeper’s position and there being no covering defender, therefore recommended an on-field review.

"The referee then upgraded the yellow to a red card."

  • Arteta takes responsibility for the Gunners' poor performance

The Arsenal manager said: "The moment we got into the areas, then you have to unlock something, and we didn't.

"That is down to me as well. That is my responsibility and I don't want to take that all to the players.

"Today we weren't at the level required to be convincingly better than the opponent."

  • 15-match unbeaten run comes to an end

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are denied matching their previous 16-match unbeaten run dating back to 2011.

A Jarrod Bowen diving header was enough to end the Gunners' dominance and turn the Hammers' form around.

  • Lewis-Skelly red card could sink Gunners' ship

Here is the moment Lewis-Skelly brought down Mohammed Kudus in the second half.

The youngster thought he got away lucky with a yellow but a quick VAR check said otherwise.

Could this be the end of Arsenal's title hopes?

  • The Gunners failed to take hold of the game

Arteta was visibly upset in his post match press conference, explaining: "We never got a grip of the game because we're so inconsistent with the ball.

"We give so many balls away. We never get enough positive sequence of actions, one after the other, that could generate threat and momentum in the areas we want to conquer.

"That allowed the game to be the flick of a coin. "

  • Odegaard still believes Gunners can challenge

The Arsenal captain said: "It's no time to feel sorry for ourselves.

"We're going to be ready to strike back and make sure we do better.

"We lost today and we're disappointed but there's a long way to go."

  • 'It's not in our hands'

Arteta doesn't believe the title race is in the hands of his Arsenal side.

  • The Arsenal manager saw momentum slip away

"The way we started the game and how imprecise we were with the ball.

    "It wasn't enough today."

  • 'I would put out the same team'

When asked if his team selection was wrong, Arteta responded: "I would put out the same team again.

"When you lose, your selection is wrong."

  • Mikel Arteta's press conference begins

Arteta makes his feelings clear immediately, saying: "I am very, very disappointed.

"We were nowhere near the levels that we have to hit if we want to win the Premier League."

  • Glass of wine on the horizon for the West Ham boss

When asked if he would celebrate Potter said: "I might have a glass of wine."

The manager hinted that Taylor Swift would be playing in the background...

  • Potter on Lewis-Skelly's red card

"I was surprised the referee and the linesman didn't see it, to be honest.

"It looked pretty obvious to me."

  • Potter on his record at the Emirates

"I first came here seven years ago with Ostersunds, to the day pretty much.

"We just wanted to be a better version of ourselves and I think we were today."

  • Graham Potter's press conference begins

Let's here what the Englishman has to say following West Ham's victory.

  • Potter maintains his brilliant record at the Emirates

Graham Potter has now beaten Arsenal at the Emirates with three different clubs (Ostersunds FK, Brighton, and West Ham).

Potter is only the second manager to do so after Carlo Ancelloti.

The Englishman came into the fixture with three wins from four fixtures at the Emirates, he leaves with four wins and the highest win percentage of any manager to take charge of more than three games here.

  • Arteta will be nervously watching Liverpool on Sunday

The Arsenal boss explained the nerves of watching other top teams play in his pre-match press conference, saying: "No, especially when you are playing with these teams, you obviously cannot relax.

"I relax watching games that don’t interfere with our ability to win big trophies."

  • Striker-less Gunners left looking for inspiration

All of the noise was around Mikel Merino's second appearance as a makeshift striker, and that is likely to be the case after the game as well, but for the wrong reasons.

If Arteta needed convincing to look for an out-and-out striker, this will do it.

Lewis-Skelly's red card will provide the Arsenal boss with an unneeded headache as the Gunners cling on to their title hopes.

  • Dominant Arsenal fail to get over the line

  • Premier League table

Here's the top of the Premier League table following today's results:

  • West Ham turn their form around

Potter's side have finally won a London derby and what a way to do it.

Bowen, Kudus and Wan-Bissaka lead the line tirelessly, defending with as much vigour as they attacked with.

After four losses on the trot, the Hammers will be celebrating that one.
