  • Owner tirade out on pitch

Evangelos Marinakis seemed to be airing his thoughts with Nuno Espirito Santo after their surprise draw with Leicester City.

They went behind in the match and managed to turn things around when Chris Wood score to put them ahead.

However, a late Facundo Buonanotte strike robbed them of victory as The Foxes took a well-earned point from the City Ground.

  • Ruben struggling to get started

Despite their exploits in Europe, Ruben Amorim took over a Man Utd team who were 13th in the Premier League table, things needed to change.

We have not seen that, if anything, their league position was got worse as they sit in 16th spot in the table.

Defeat at home against West Ham was underpinned by how comfortable The Hammers were in a two-nil scoreline.

  • Magpies on European hunt

Newcastle got an important win as they look to secure a top five spot and a place in next season's Champions League.

Facing rivals Chelsea at St James' Park, despite taking the lead, it turned into a nervy affair.

Guimaraes deflected effort which looped over the keeper and into the goal spurred a sigh of relief throughout the stadium.

Whether they qualify for the Champions League or not is firmly in their own hands.

  • Eze does it in North London

Tottenham caved after their European exploits as The Eagles came to town.

Eberechi Eze was the thorn in their side as he sparkled in North London to take all three points.

His brace sealed a two-nil victory in North London, leaving Spurs in 17th place in the Premier League table.

  • The curious case of Rasmus

While Ruben Amorim has no choice but to play the Dane currently, you wonder what the future holds for Rasmus Hojlund.

He is not the sort of striker that the club needs right now and it seems something engrained into him that cannot be changed.

Hojlund does not have the hunger and mentality to attack the areas where he is going to get goals.

The forward drops deep and goes out wide far too often, getting the ball in areas where he cannot hurt the opposition.

  • Physio infuriates manager and owner

After interviews with Nuno Espirito Santo, he confirmed the discussions with the owner were over the fitness of Taiwo Awoniyi.

They readied Jota Silva to come on for him but then kept the striker on the pitch and were unable to make any more changes.

Despite the medical team saying he was fine, the striker was moving around like he needed a hip replacement asap.

The striker collided with a post trying to score, only to see his effort ruled out as the offside flag went up.

  • A game of two halves at Anfield

During the first-half, Arne Slot's side looked the all-conquering Premier League champions that they are.

Arsenal looked powerless to do anything about it as well.

However, after the interval Liverpool looked as though they were still in the changing rooms for most of the match, allowing Arsenal to grab a draw from the jaws of defeat.

  • Pressure building on Spaniard

Despite the progression the club has made under him, silverware has still been in short supply at The Emirates.

The owners expect to see results and next season must be seen as a 'win at all costs' when it comes to trophies.

Without that, Mikel Arteta's time in North London may came to an abrupt end that sours his time at the club.

  • Race for Europe heats up

With five spots offering Champions League qualification this campaign, there are currently seven teams in contention.

It was an action-packed weekend with some surprising results.

As things stand, with two games to go, it would be Aston Villa and Nott'm Forest who miss out on Europe's top table.

However, there are only four points separating seventh spot and second place and it stands.

It should be an interesting climax to the season.

  • Mikel seeming frosty in interview

For the majority of the season, Arteta has remained positive that his team could achieve their goals.

Now it has been confirmed not to be the case, he was very edgy in his interview with Sky Sports.

The Spaniard seemed frustrated and angry with his side's performance at Anfield despite their second-half comeback.

  • Room for improvement

Despite being the best team in the Premier League this season, it is pivotal that Liverpool still try to raise their bar for the next campaign.

You cannot become complacement as success is not a guarantee to anyone at this level.

Some of the post-title winning matches will show Arne Slot where they need to strengthen this summer with owners no doubt ready to back him following his sucess this campaign.

  • Reds close to late drama

Liverpool thought they had found a winner today when Robertson tapped home in the 96th minute.

Sadly his celebrations were short-lived as the referee blew up for a foul by Konate.

The defender pushed Lewis-Skelly in the face and it was the right decision, although The Reds' left-back may disagree.

  • Boss dealing with disappointing campaign

Speaking with Sky Sports, Mikel Arteta gave his thoughts on the match at Anfield:

What we did in the first-half, it was the right levels. So what we did in the second-half to react does not matter as the damage was done. You cannot accept things that are not acceptable. We have to make sure we get in the Champions League now and see if we can win trophies next season. When the team plays like this, that is on me for sure. The position we are in, fifteeen points behind, it hurts. It has to hurt.

  • Slot upbeat after draw

Speaking with Sky Sports, Arne Slot gave his thoughts on the match and reception for Trent Alexander-Arnold:

Nah I don’t think I have learnt much from them today. These are the lads who have played for me all season. I like to see the mentality they showed today, after winning the league it can be hard to get performances. Some people were clapping for him [Trent] and some were booing him, that is natural. I pick players who can win us games and he showed that as he created two really good chances for us. Conor played a very good game. Everybody has the right to their own opinion, we do not tell people what to think. That is the beauty of living in Europe, everyone can have their own thoughts on things.

  • Scot robbed of late winner

Speaking with Sky Sports, Andrew Robertson gave his thoughts on the match:

Yeh, both sides were sloppy to start but we picked up and scored two goals. I think we dominated until the break. The second-half we dropped off and let them back in the game. I thought we'd nicked it at the end but it wasn't to be, the manager said it was probably just off.

  • Gunners respond well after break

Many expected Liverpool to go on and win this game comfortably going in at the interval two-goals ahead.

The Gunners came out after the break and dominated the game, more importantly, starting to create some opportunities.

Martinelli made this a game again before Merino headed home to draw Arsenal level in the game.

It could have got even better when Odegaard was inches away from stealing a winner towards the end of the match.

  • Dom-inating the midfield at Anfield

One of many players who have really grown as Liverpool players this season is Dominik Szoboszlai.

He really played a box-to-box midfielder role and was pivotal to his side at both ends of the pitch.

The Hungarian looks like he could be the sort of player this midfield has been crying out for to compliment the work of the engine room.

  • Premier League results:

Here are all the scores from today's games....

    • Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea
    • Man Utd 0-2 West Ham
    • Nott'm Forest 2-2 Leicester
    • Tottenham 0-2 Crystal Palace
    • Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal

The race for European football is hotting up and with each team only having two games remaining, we are set for lots of drama, that is for sure.

  • You may well walk alone

Trent Alexander-Arnold seemed shocked to hear the boos as he came on as a second-half substitute.

There were boos ringing out from the stands whenever he touched the ball.

Liverpool's fans are passionate and it is almost like a family when you play for them, but should you shun this club, they are not afraid to let you know their thoughts.

  • FT: Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal

A disappointing draw for the champions.

They threw away a two-goal lead at Anfield this afternoon.

Credit where it is due to Arsenal, they were the better side in the second-half.

  • FT: Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal

The referee brings the game to a close.

Drama at the end as both sides almost won it.

Liverpool will feel this is two points dropped.
