Borussia Monchengladbach leave brilliant letters for fans to give to bosses after rescheduled Manchester City match
Champions League fixture was delayed after torrential rain and worried supporters now have official excuse for missing work

BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH fans have been enjoying an extended break in Manchester this week.
The German giants were supposed to face City in the Champions League on Tuesday night, but torrential downpours saw the game postponed.
Uefa gave their blessing for the match to be replayed this evening, and while a lot of City fans have stayed away, the Gladbach faithful have been back in full support to cheer on their side.
Things aren’t going too well for the Bundesliga outfit, with a brace from Sergio Aguero in the first-half leaving them with some work to do if they want to get a win.
However, fans worried about what their bosses will say when they return home don’t have to be concerned.
Gladbach ingeniously left letters for their supporters to bring to work, explaining they were needed for a very important task in Manchester.
The letters read: “Dear Sir, Dear Boss.
“Unfortunately, your employee cannot appear at work on this Thursday as he is in Manchester to fulfil the important duty to support Borussia Monchengladbach in the Uefa Champions League.
“We thank you being his boss for accepting his apology to stay away for one day.
“We regret for whatever inconvenience this may have for your company but, at the same time, hope for your understanding. With kind regards from Manchester, Max Erbel, Sporting Director.”
