Mourinho's men limped to a 1-0 win in the first match between the sides at Old Trafford in September and Vernydub has promised a similar fight this time round.
He said: "We want to get a positive result.
"Manchester United are a top club and all the players are very strong. But we will play the game as best we can.
"Of course United need a point, but I think we can make history for football in our country.
"That's why we will play as good as we can. Everything is possible.
"When we were drawn in this league a lot of people thought that we would lose all our games 3-0, 4-0 or 5-0.
"Yes, we lost against Manchester and Feyenoord, and the game in Fenerbahce was very difficult because our goal was not allowed.
"But we have shown we can play well and that our players are on a great level. That is why we are very proud of it."
Vernydub added: "I doubt that such a team as Manchester United can be nervous about this game because the whole squad of this team are very famous and professional," said the Zorya coach.
