Death in Paradise’s Josephine Jobert confirms Florence’s fate after sad exit

DEATH in Paradise star Josephine Jobert has confirmed that DS Florence Cassell has left the hit crime show "for good".
BBC One viewers were devastated after Florence said an emotional goodbye to San Marie and DI Neville Parker after her undercover mission came to an end on last week's episode.
Actress Josephine has revealed that Florence won't be returning to the island as her character makes a fresh start somewhere new.
“Yeah, she's been through a lot and she's been shot once, almost died the second time, she told Digital Spy.
“She lost her husband and is still grieving, but I mean, she's getting better and better.
“I think it's good for her to leave for good."
Florence's departure comes after Neville was brutally friend-zoned by his deputy Florence after she told him they were "just friends".
Speaking about how Neville will cope after Florence's departure, she said: "I haven't read the script, so I don't know what they're gonna do with that!
“He's gonna be sad."

Although Josephine won't be appearing on the BBC One crime show filmed in Guadeloupe, she insisted that she will be back on our screens soon.
Speaking about upcoming projects, she revealed: “I’m writing with my mum.
“So I'm still gonna be an actor but I'm really interested in writing and producing.”
The latest episode showed the undercover detective's cover blown, after she'd been living with suspect Miranda Priestly working as an au-pair for her daughter using the name Celeste.
However, things came to a dramatic end after Florence had a gun turned to her by Miranda, after it was realised she murdered her own mum.
Miranda led Florence into a field and had her on her knees, ready to shoot.
However, DC Cassell managed to draw her own pistol and shoot Miranda in the side before placing her under arrest for multiple murders.
Following the heroic act, Neville Parker (Ralph Little) raced to her, before it was announced that she would be leaving the island.
The emotional scene saw Florence say her goodbyes to everyone before being driven away in a taxi.
As she looked out the window of the vehicle wiping her tears, it seemed like the fans were doing the same.
They all flooded to Twitter to share their thoughts on the shocking end.
