X Factor star unrecognisable as he gets married 16 years after appearing on show and Simon Cowell feud

He went on to have a solo career following the breakdown of the pop duo

X FACTOR star Sean Smith looks unrecognisable as he gets married 16 years after appearing on the show.

The singer, who found fame on the show in 2007, was one-half of the pop duo Same Difference with his sister Sarah.

Despite finishing in third place, Same Difference managed to sign a big deal with Simon Cowell's record label Syco and performed all over the world.

But in December 2014, they were dropped due to disappointing sales.

It was reported that they wanted to become "nostalgic" rather than "flogging a dead horse".

Fast forward nearly two decades later and Sean looks very different.

The star, once known for his squeaky-clean appearance, has undergone a dramatic transformation and now boasts a ripped physique.

Taking to his on Monday (December 11), Sean announced his marriage to his wife Lyuda Lakovenko.

Sharing a carousel of sweet snaps of his big day, the singer looked handsome in a white tuxedo with black accents, while his wife stunned in a white v-neck wedding dress.

Sean simply captioned the shots: "25.11.23 ⛪️"

He also tagged the photographer "@maxvickeryphoto" and added the hashtag "#wedding".

Fans congratulated the couple, as one said: "Congratulations. God bless you both!"

A second gushed: "Wishing you all the happiness in the world."

A third wrote: "Lovely photos."

Since his X Factor days, Sean has kept in the spotlight but headed for the stage securing roles in pantomimes alongside solo music goals

He also landed a touring role with 'That's Entertainment and performed alongside stars such as Jane McDonald & The Overtones.

In 2016, he returned to music with a debut solo single Turn Me On.

His other releases include Magic which reached number 29 on the UK iTunes dance singles chart and a cover of Verona which charted in 12 countries.
