Morning Live’s Gaby Roslin breaks silence on best friend Ben Shepherd’s This Morning job as pair compete in ratings war

GABY Roslin has shared her delight for best pal Ben Shephard after he was revealing as This Morning's new host.
Ben, 49, will take over hosting the ITV daytime programme from next month alongside Cat Deeley.

Ahead of his new role Ben said goodbye to Good Morning Britain on Friday in a tearful final show.
Now his best friend has spoken about them going up against each other in the daytime schedules.
Gaby, 59, co-hosts Morning Live on rotation with Gethin Jones on BBC One from 9:30pm to 10:45.
She said: "Ben is one of my dear, dear, dear friends. It's so funny because we're going to be on air, opposite each other obviously.
"But I love Ben, it's as simple as that."
She continued: "I'm also very lucky to work with Gethin Jones as well. I think they're really two fab guys."
Gaby and Ben have hosted together previously, almost 20 years ago for ITV series Solution Street.
The BBC Radio presenter explained: "I did a show years ago with Ben and we've remained friends ever since.

"I had a feeling it was going to be him and I was so pleased when they announced it!"
Both shows will clash for 45 minutes as ITV and Beeb execs battle for viewers.

Gaby was speaking ahead of her Channel 5 series Shop Smart, Save Money returning for a second series.
Presenting with Ortis Deley, the two hosts will advise viewers on the best products to buy to help them live better.
Shop Smart, Save Money returns Wednesday, February 28th on Channel 5.
