STEPHEN Mulhern suffered from a stumble in the opening moments of Dancing On Ice.

The ITV host did something unprecedented as he was lifted onto the ice.

Before any of the contestants took to the stage, the Deal Or No Deal host needed go officially open the vote.

In a terrifying stunt, Stephen, 46, was lifted high above the rink by some of the male professional dancers.

They swung him round - to visible discomfort - as he attempted to move the show along as Holly Willoughby looked on.

However, when it came to putting him down on slippery ground, the Dancing On Ice star suffered an unfortunate slip.

He had to be held up by the selection of ice dancers as he almost fell to the ground.

As Stephen looked visibly uncomfortable, fans couldn't help but laugh as the host struggled on the rink.

One fan laughed: "Imagine if one of them slipped and just dropped Stephen #DancingOnIce."

A second surprisingly noted: "Stephen taking to the ice! #DancingOnIce."

Whilst a third joked: "Stephen being lifted over the ice 😂😂😂#DancingOnIce."

However, there was another stumble in the finale of the show as former Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire stumbled in his first routine.

The reality TV personality suffered a heartbreaking fall in a "fluke mistake".

He looked devastated as he thought he "let down" his professional partner Vanessa Bauer.

However the judges only deducted half a point from the final marks and he was given a whopping 38 points.
