OUR Girl fans have gone wild as Michelle Keegan's character picked her man in the show's series finale.
Lance Corporal Georgie Lane opted for her former love Special Forces Officer Elvis Harte, played by Luke Pasqualino, in dramatic scenes which saw her leave her fiance Jamie (Royce Pierreson) at the altar - years after Elvis jilted her in the same way.
Finale scenes saw Elvis risk his life for Georgie - once again - as he's shot in the leg while she's being held hostage.
Tenderly kissing Elvis on the forehead as he's rushed to hospital, she's later seen telling Jamie: "I'm just not the settling down type."
One fan wrote on Twitter: "Jamie was cool....BUT we all know Elvis was Georgie's true love cant wait for season 3 #OurGirl @michkeegan @bbc1_iplayer"
While another added: "So glad she picked Elvis. I don't know what I am gonna do now without #OurGirl @michkeegan is one hell of an actress. #Bbc1 #HatsOffToYou"
One viewer simply commented: "#TeamElvis #OurGirl"
Fans have heaped praise on Michelle's portrayal of the army medic and have welcomed the news she's to return for a second series.
But some viewers would have liked a bit more closure on Georgie and Elvis' relationship, with the closing scenes showing Michelle's character heading back into the field alone.
When asked about a husband, Georgie states: "They're overrated.
"I've got something much more important. I've have a job to do."
One fan said: "Why did it end like that? Are they together? Did they get married? Did they have beautiful babies? I feel empty. #OurGirl"
